Project TIDE

TIDE (Trans-pacific Interactive Distance Learning) is a promising experimental project for distance learning between Kyoto University and UCLA with support of NTT.

Concurrent Automatic Recording for Multimedia Lecture (CARMUL)

We are running another project that aims to archive lectures in our campus in a multimodal way. This system captures slides, hand-writing, movies and audio with time attribute automatically.

3D Classroom by CG

We are also investigating full-3D approach too.
